Holland America Have It All vs Early Booking Bonus: What’s Included and How to Compare Value
Have It All bundles selected cruise extras; the eligible Early Booking Bonus enhances that bundle. Neither name means every vacation expense is included. Compare the cabin-only total with the actual package total for the same ship, date, cabin and party, then value the benefits you will use rather than a supplier’s headline savings figure.
Regular package versus an eligible early-booking bundle
The core comparison covers beverages, Wi-Fi, selected specialty dining and shore excursion credit. The reviewed US Early Booking Bonus offer includes Elite beverages, Premium Wi-Fi and prepaid Crew Appreciation. Do not assume that booking early automatically qualifies, or that every regular package has the same inclusion list across markets and departure periods. Your written quote should name the package and itemize its benefits.
| Item to compare | Have It All quote | Eligible Early Booking Bonus quote |
|---|---|---|
| Drinks and Wi-Fi | Check the exact standard tiers named in the quote. | Reviewed offer specifies Elite beverages and Premium Wi-Fi. |
| Excursions and dining | Check the allowance, eligible venues and cruise-length rules. | Length-based credit and dining allowance, not unlimited excursions or dinners. |
| Crew Appreciation | Confirm whether it is included in that particular fare. | Prepaid Crew Appreciation in the reviewed eligible offer; not all service charges. |
| Eligibility | Verify sailing, guests and current terms. | Selected new bookings while available; first and second guests only under reviewed terms. |
Understand the excursion and dining allowances
The reviewed US Early Booking Bonus terms give eligible guests $100 shore excursion credit for four- to nine-day cruises, $200 for 10- to 20-day cruises and $300 for cruises of 21 days or more, excluding Grand Voyages. That is per eligible person, not one unlimited account for the whole cabin. A tour priced above the credit still leaves a difference to pay.
Specialty dining is one, two or three nights across those duration bands, with the eligible restaurants depending on the ship. Events such as Morimoto by Sea are excluded from the reviewed dining allowance. Cruises of three days or less and Grand Voyages are excluded from that Early Booking Bonus offer. For an Alaska cruisetour, do not assume cruise-package benefits cover every land expense.
Check the boundaries before assigning a dollar value
Under the reviewed terms, Elite has a daily limit of 15 beverages priced at $16 or less, with applicable beverage service charges included. That does not cover minibar purchases, room service purchases or drinks on RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Premium Wi-Fi permits one actively connected device at a time and does not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every high-bandwidth application will work.
Prepaid Crew Appreciation covers the stated stateroom gratuities, not every charge connected with bar, dining, wine or spa services. Avoid both extremes: assuming every gratuity is covered, or adding a charge twice when it is already included in the applicable product. The quote and current terms should settle the specific question.
A practical comparison without inflated savings
Suppose you plan only one ship excursion, occasional drinks and little internet use. Value those purchases at what you reasonably expect to spend, not at the maximum benefit you could theoretically consume. Another traveler who wants daily drinks, Wi-Fi and the covered restaurant visits may reach a different conclusion on the same voyage.
Compare complete totals with the same tax treatment, occupancy, cabin category and booking conditions. An eligible group fare can have different benefits or restrictions from the public package fare. Our team should compare those differences explicitly, not promise that a package or group option always wins. Do not overlook airfare, hotels, transfers, insurance or separately purchased experiences when setting the overall trip budget.
The Best Price Guarantee is a limited claim process
The reviewed US offer describes onboard credit worth 120% of a verified qualifying fare difference when an identical, publicly available HAL website booking is found and a claim submitted within 72 hours of the original booking. Matching includes ship, dates, cabin category, occupancy, bundle and booking conditions; current eligibility and evidence requirements apply.
It is not automatic lowest pricing forever, a cash refund promise or a comparison against unpublished agency group fares. Keep your confirmation and consult the current official claim terms promptly if you believe you have a qualifying match.
Questions travelers ask
Is Have It All an all-inclusive vacation?
No. It bundles specified benefits with limits. Transportation, insurance and many onboard or ashore purchases can remain extra.
Does every early booking get the bonus?
No. The reviewed offer applies to selected new bookings while available, with guest and voyage exclusions. Confirm eligibility in your quote.
Can I use the dining allowance for Morimoto?
The reviewed terms exclude events such as Morimoto by Sea. Verify any separately priced reservation rather than assuming it uses your included dinner.
Does the guarantee compare unpublished group fares?
No. The reviewed guarantee requires a qualifying identical publicly available HAL website fare and a timely claim, not an unpublished agency fare.
