Seabourn Alaska 2027: Encore Itineraries and the Denali Experience
Seabourn Encore sails Alaska and British Columbia from May through September 2027 with 18 departures across five itineraries of 7 to 15 days. Every voyage includes scenic cruising in at least one signature waterway, such as Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm, but not every voyage visits Glacier Bay. Before select southbound voyages from Juneau to Vancouver, you can add The Denali Experience, an optional 8-day, 7-night land journey that starts in Anchorage. Pick the exact itinerary first, because the route decides which glaciers you see and whether Denali fits.
Start with the itinerary, not the ship
All 2027 Seabourn Alaska voyages are on Seabourn Encore, a 600-guest ship, so the real choice is the route. If Glacier Bay specifically matters to you, confirm that your departure includes it rather than assuming every Alaska cruise does. Compare the ports on each itinerary too: some travelers want more time in small towns, others want more scenic cruising days.
Shorter voyages mean a shorter cruise commitment, but add the flight and hotel nights at each end to your total trip length. Longer 14- or 15-day voyages give more ports and waterways but need more time off and usually cost more in total. One-way voyages between Juneau and Vancouver mean flying into one city and out of another, which can change your airfare.
The Denali Experience
The Denali Experience is a pre-cruise Seabourn Journey available before select southbound Juneau to Vancouver voyages. It begins in Anchorage with a scenic rail journey and includes hotel accommodations, daily dining, transportation, airport transfers and expert guiding, with time in Denali National Park and Preserve. Flights to Anchorage and from Vancouver are not automatically included, so price them with the package.
Adding Denali turns a cruise into a two-week or longer trip. It suits travelers who want Alaska's interior as well as the coast and are comfortable with early starts and bus or rail days. Wildlife sightings and mountain views depend on weather and are never guaranteed.
Ventures by Seabourn in Alaska
Seabourn's Alaska voyages offer Ventures by Seabourn, optional expert-led excursions by kayak and Zodiac, supported by an expedition team of naturalists, scientists and historians. These are separately priced optional excursions on an ocean voyage. That is different from Seabourn's expedition ships, where Zodiac cruises are part of the included program.
